Book Stack :: HERSTORY: Women Who Rebel

January 19, 2020

I love reading historical fiction, especially based around the lives of Australia women - regular women who did extraordinary things, and who have largely been written out of history. Harper Collins Australia (Harlequin Books) have published some of my favourite books of this type over the past few years, so when I saw they were running a special HERSTORY: Women Who Rebel campaign I was super excited and keen to read along. Which also meant I was delighted when the team at Harper Collins kindly sent me a stack of the first four books being featured in the campaign!

There's a different title being featured each month, and I'm really looking forward to reading them and sharing my thoughts here on my blog as the months pass.
January's title is The Girl in the Painting by Tea Cooper. I started it today and was drawn into the story right away. I really enjoyed Cooper's The Woman in the Green Dress when I read it last year (check out my review here), so I have had my eye on this one for a while and am so glad to be getting into it.

You can find out more about HERSTORY : Women Who Rebel on the Harper Collins website here.
I'd love to know if you have a favourite historical fiction book, or whether any in this stack have caught your eye!
