Book Stack :: Books on the Rail

February 05, 2020

Have you heard of Books on the Rail? It is a movement that aims to spread the joy of reading by leaving books on public transport across Australia for other commuters to find and enjoy. You know you've found a Books on the Rail book when you spot that cute logo sticker on the cover
I'm a public transport user in my day to day life, and I just think it is such a fun idea. I absolutely love working with Books on the Rail and am always thrilled when I receive a box of new (or near) release titles from publishers to drop around the public transport here in Canberra.

There have been soooo many amazing title going out lately (including the gorgeous The Daughter of Victory Lights, which I left copies of on the tram today) - so I thought I'd share a little stack of some of the books I've been leaving on the bus and tram lately - or will be dropping around in the next few weeks! Click on the titles below to go to the Goodreads page and find out more about them.

DESIRE LINES :: Felicity Volk - out 20 Feb from Hachette Australia

JANE IN LOVE :: Rachel Givney - out now from Penguin Books Australia

THE DAUGHTER OF VICTORY LIGHTS :: Kerri Turner - out now from HQ Fiction Australia

THE PARIS MODEL :: Alexandra Joel - out now from Harper Collins Australia

I'd love to know if you've even spotted a Books on the Rail book in the wild! Click over here to find out more about the movement, it's founders Ali and Michelle, and the sweet book they wrote based on Books on the Rail (The Book Ninja) And if you're in Canberra make sure you keep your eyes peeled for all of these great titles!

  1. Sometimes I get sad that I can't get these books, but then I remember that other people who might not have thought of one of these books before will pick it up, and I can't be sad anymore. Gotta love Books on the Rail for spreading so much bookish love and joy!
And you, for being a part of their incredible team!
